We’ve worked extensively on smart city domains due our unique advantage in this market. Our team’s engineering background helps us to understand the underlying operational process for many industries. We know which sensors can support which business and region based on many years of experience working in North America and Southeast Asia. We’ve successfully developed a technology for vertical farming in collaboration with national University of Singapore. This invention has been demonstrated in a commercial vertical farm in Singapore and awarded a patent in 30+ countries, including Singapore, China, Japan, US, and Canada through the Switzerland-based World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). We’ve also won a 1 st runner-up spot in Google Cloud Hackathon in Singapore for our cutting edge-prototype for decarbonization in commercial real estate property market. We’ve most recently won the deep tech innovation challenge in partnership with Panasonic and Action Community for Entrepreneurship for utilization of advanced wireless technology in smart cities applications.

July 5, 2023 – Ambient Systems celebrates its 2-year anniversary since its launch in Singapore on July 5, 2021. With the support of family, friends, and the University, Ivan Damnjanović incorporated Ambient Systems two years ago in Southeast startup oasis.

February 27-28, 2023 - Tokyo: City-Tech.Tokyo is one of Japan's largest global startup events with the aim of realizing sustainable cities through open innovation together with startups.

Jan 19, 2023 - Singapore: Panasonic Deep Tech Innovation Challenge 4 aims to identify high potential startups and SMEs to collaborate with Panasonic as technology adopters for its technologies.

August 15, 2022 - Toronto: University of Toronto Engineering graduate Ivan Damnjanovic (CivE 1T4+PEY) has developed software that harnesses the power of data science and traditional engineering to make sustainable building management less expensive and more productive than ever before.

From April 10th to June 10th, Google Cloud worked with hackathon entrants through the solutioning process from ideation to prototyping to the final pitch. The hackathon saw incredible response with 40 startup teams competing for a top 5 spot.

A total of 28 early-stage start-ups have been accepted into the programme’s first intake for the year.

A BRIEF COMPANY HISTORY

Ambient Systems was incorporated in Singapore on July 5, 2021, after receiving pre-seed investment from National University of Singapore Graduate Research and Innovation Programme (NUS GRIP).

However, the company has roots in 2020. The company’s founder, Ivan Damnjanović, initially proposed the use of sensors and AI in smart homes and healthcare facilities to balance energy savings with indoor air quality and other considerations.

Since 2020, we’ve focused mostly on commercial real estate segments in addition to healthcare, such as Vertical Farming, which is popular in Singapore due to the land constraints and Government’s bold vision of achieving 30% local food production by 2030.

The company's technology has been well received, having been awarded a patent by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 30+ jurisdictions, winning a 1st runner-up spot Google Cloud Hackathon in 2022, and winning a 1st place in Panasonic’s deep tech innovation challenge hosted by Action Community for Entrepreneurship.

Ambient Systems has increasingly advocated use of technology for financial transformation, proposing for finance teams to lead the necessary transformation on the behalf of business units as well as utilizing emerging sensing technologies and data science innovation to enhance finance team operations.

In our conversations with finance professionals, we also discovered that available ERP systems are too standardized for unique needs of different businesses and existing data science platforms were not tailored enough for finance teams.

As of May 2023, Ambient Systems is focused on solving challenges related to financial management across industries with our deep technology expertise as a unique advantage in this field.
